The Instruction of Household Gas Alarm HS-109B

Your wise choice of using gas alarm is greatly appreciated. Please read the operation instruction before using it, and keep the instruction well after reading.

1.Summary:

The household gas alarm is developed by adopting advanced electronic techniques and gas detecting techniques. It is of high sensibility and is applicable to detecting the leakage of household gas, liquid gas and natural gas. The sensor reacts with the diffused gases in the air directly and generates linear voltage signal .When the detected gas density reaches a setting value, the alarm will send out acousto-optic alarm signal to remind users to take measures in time. The product gas alarm has a special design, modern and fashion, and is of the convenience to use.

2.Technical Parameter:

Rated voltage: AC230V/50~60HZ Power dissipation: <6W Temperature: -10℃~+50℃ Humidity: 10%~85% RH Alarming level: gas≤25%LEL Alarm decibel: ≥85db/3m Size: 126*73*76mm

3.Operation:

A). Plug in the gas alarm in order to be preheated (about 2 minutes), red indicator light is on. The gas alarm does not detect gas at warm-up time. After being preheated, the red indicator light is off . It shows that the alarm is in a testing state. (it may alarms when plug in, and it’ll in normal working state after preheated some minutes later.) B).Testing state: Depress the test button for a few seconds, the red indicator light is flash, and the gas alarm gives sounds. Release the button, the red indicator light is off and the sounds stop. It means the alarm works well. Install the gas alarm to the very place after testing, and plug it in the power accordingly. C). Inspecting state: the red indicator light flashes every 40seconds cyclically . D). When the alarm has tested the corresponding density of the gas, the red indicator light flashes and the buzzer sounds. It reminds user to take measures in time, E). Depress the test button at regular interval to make sure the alarm is in normal working state, and keep clean of the surface.

4.Installation:

A).If it is used to detect natural gas, please install the alarm at the place at least 50 centimeters far away from the ceiling, it is also should be within the distance in 1.5m from the nature gas source. The main component of natural gas is methane, which is lighter weight than air,so the gas alarm should be mounted on the wall and not be placed lower than the top of the door or window. B).If it is used to detect compressed petroleum gas or city coal gas,as their main component arepropane or butane, which is heavier height than air, so the has alarm should be mounted at a lower place,it is generally installed at a distance of less than 30cm from the ground and with a range of 1.5m from the LPG resource. There should be no door or window at the place between the alarm and LPG leakage, because it prevents the leakage of the gas from reaching the alarm at the first time.

Cannot be installed in the following position:

A). don’t install the alarm at the top of the cooker, as cooking smoke, fat and dirt may affect the alarm. B). don’t install the alarm above the sink, as water splash (humidity) and dust may affect the alarm. C). don’t install the alarm at the place where there are air holes, fans or other ventilated places nearby. it may prevent the leakage of gas from reaching the alarm at the first time. D). don’t install the alarm at built-in or covered place, which may delay the detection of gas leakage. E). don’t install the alarm at outdoors or in a place with humidity less than 10% or greater than 85%.

5. Points for attention:

A) Do use special fittings to its possible repair in order to avoid heavy losses. B) Let the professional repair it. C) Keep household gas alarm and packing materials out of reach of the children. D) Any improper use or man-made damage is not covered under the guarantee.
