FAQ
Do not install smoke detectors in garages (because combustion can occur when starting a car), inside kitchens, in front of forced air vents for heating and air conditioning, near ceiling fans or other areas with high air flow, at the peak of an "A" - framed ceiling, in places where the temperature may drop below 40°F (4℃) or rise above 100°F (38℃), in dusty areas, or in very humid locations or near bathrooms.
For apartments, it is recommended to install smoke detectors inside each bedroom, near the main entrance, in the living room, and in hallways. For standalone villas, smoke detectors should be installed on each floor in the hallways (one in the hallway and one at the top of the stairs), and it is also advisable to install them inside each bedroom.
When the temperature drops, the battery voltage also decreases, causing the device to beep. The beeping will stop when the temperature rises.
If the battery is low, it will initially beep irregularly, and eventually it should stabilize to one beep every 30 - 40 seconds. This beeping will continue for at least 7 days or until the battery is replaced. Another possible reason is that the detector head is malfunctioning. In this case, the alarm must be replaced.
